In case you didn&#8217;t make it to the event, you can watch the recordings of the sessions held at JamStack Conf <a href="https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL58Wk5g77lF8jzqp_1cViDf-WilJsAvqT">here</a>.</p><p>Static Site Generator <strong>Gatsby,</strong> and headless CMS <strong>Strapi</strong> had also big things to announce. So, let&#8217;s straight jump into the hot topics of the week:</p><div><hr></div><h5>Hosting/CDN</h5><ul><li><p><strong>Netlify</strong> introduced <a href="https://www.netlify.com/blog/2020/05/27/netlify-build-plugins-are-here/">Build Plugins</a> during this weeks JAMstack Conference: &#8220;Build Plugins allow you to automate build tasks, customize your build process, and make your development process even easier&#8221;</p></li><li><p><strong>Netlify</strong> also introduced <a href="https://www.netlify.com/blog/2020/05/27/introducing-edge-handlers-in-preview/">Edge Handlers</a> in preview: &#8220;We believe that the CDN should not just be a store for static assets, it should also be an avenue to run your code alongside it. We&#8217;re therefore incredibly delighted to release Edge Handlers, a way to directly run code right from the CDN.&#8221; </p></li></ul><p></p><h5>SSG&#8217;s</h5><ul><li><p><strong>Gatsby</strong> not only <a href="https://www.gatsbyjs.org/blog/2020-05-22-happy-fifth-bday-gatsby/">turned five this week</a> (happy belated birthday &#127874;), but also introduced a new builds benchmarking service for Gatsby Cloud (&#8220;<a href="https://www.gatsbyjs.org/blog/2020-05-26-introducing-will-it-build/">Will It Build</a>&#8221;) and <a href="https://www.gatsbyjs.org/blog/2020-05-27-announcing-series-b-funding/">raised $28M Series B</a>. Well, congrats on that! &#128640;</p></li></ul><p></p><h5>(Headless) CMS</h5><ul><li><p><strong>Strapi</strong> meanwhile <a href="https://strapi.io/blog/strapi-stable-community-edition">announced general availability of its popular Open Source Content Management System as well as enterprise support</a>: &#8220;5 years after the first commit, 3 years after the launch of the company, we&#8217;re incredibly excited to announce the general availability of Strapi Community Edition. This stable version is a huge milestone and marks the beginning of a new and exciting chapter for the Strapi project and open source community.&#8221;</p></li></ul><p></p><h5>Tutorials</h5><ul><li><p>Beginners: <a href="https://www.jamstackbuild.com/posts/set-up-your-gatsby-environment">Set up your Gatsby Environment</a><strong> &amp; </strong><a href="https://www.jamstackbuild.com/posts/how-to-use-gatsby-starters">How to use Gatsby Starters</a><strong> </strong>by Richard of <a href="https://www.jamstackbuild.com/">jamstackbuild.com</a></p></li><li><p>Intermediate/Experts: <a href="https://medium.com/faun/about-aws-suggested-way-to-host-static-web-sites-jam-stack-or-spa-fac02123c250">About AWS Suggested way to host Static Web Sites (JAM Stack or SPA)</a> by Alex Tan, AWS Certified DevOps Pro &amp; Solution Architect Pro</p></li></ul><div><hr></div><p>If you are new to or unfamiliar with JAMstack-based web development, <a href="https://bejamas.io/blog/jamstack-ecosystem/">this infographic by bejamas.io</a> might be a good resource to get a first picture of the JAMstack ecosystem.
